How long is your pole?

I wrote that and knew it sounded bad... but it is what it is. I got a new ski and it suspose to have a shortned pole on it... but I don't if it is or not. It seems really long to me. I don't know how short my pole is because it was broken a few time so I just shortened it as needed...

I need to know what is the standard length for a round nose pole?

AND what length is everybody runnning. Pole and trunplate.

Not entirely sure on the length of an OEM SJ pole... I am running an AC pole. I cut it -3", std UMI turn plate, 0 degree bars, lowered bracket. I think that all comes to what, maybe -4" to -5"... something like that.

Yea, Im doing all the work myself...other then laying up the Kevlar.....Hopefully the kevlar will be layed up this weekend. I am doing the entire boat. I am not putting foam back in this boat......I am going a different route....should still float if it does happen to sink....savn a little more weight this way.....saki you will get a kick out of this one!

We gota quit thread jacking. lol Im glad we at least gave speedfreak good advice on his pole.

ive cracked a SJ hull back down there too from 3/4 BR's in the surf.

I thought I mentioned I was using kevlar on the intire ski:biggrin: Dot worry it will be alright guys.:bigeyes:

I just bought a ski a couple weeks ago that has a shortened pole. I have never ridden with a shortend pole before. I am putting in foot wells into this ski, so once that is all done, I'm gonna have a drastically different ski.

Present Ski -

-Stock engine w/ stock pipe
-No footwells
-Standard pole

New Ski:

-Stock cylinder, Riva griddle head 35cc domes (175lbs of compression), factory B mod pipe, and dual 44's
-Wammer Rickters
-3 inch shortened pole

Pole is shortened three inches, that makes the stock graphic on the pole come right up to the handle pole bracket

Can someone measure a stock pole... I have 3 here and none are the same length.

Also does anyone run the XFT pole on a stock hull? Or is the Xmetal the way to go?
