anyone for daytona sunday?

Sounds perfect. I'll try to be there both days.

Looks like I'll be at the PC race but you might want to watch the marine forecast. Looks like 15-20 knots and 7-10ft seas which will surely mean a small craft advisory and no open pwc zones. I bet Ponce will be kicking.

Don't ever watch the forcasts. That is the only job I know that you can be completely wrong most of the time and not get fired. I like getting up in the morning, heading to the beach and being surprised with what is rolling in. You never know what your going to get.:lightning:

I can do Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon. Whichever is cleaner. :Banane01:

Garret is right about the current forecast. It may have to be Ponce, which is cool if it's kicking.:woot: Much deeper there...:sneaky:

its not looking good

a strong N/NE surge pushes into Florida Friday, ramping up the onshore flow. A very large/drifty N/NE wind swell will build to vic-at-sea proportions for the weekend. NWS marine discussion Tuesday evening backs this scenario up- suggesting that a full blown nor-nor'easter could set in Friday through most of the weekend.

if the beachbreak is out then the secret spot is my next choice(i loathe boat ramps)that + after my last ponce trip i vowed never to return:angryfire:

Ah C' mon Butti, that could have happened anywhere.:cheer2: :cheer2:

(I have no idea what you're talking about).

Ponce will be MUCH cleaner with the north side jetty. Plus, you can always do shark shallows if the outside is too much for ya.:poke:

I'm riding no matter what. I didn't ride last weekend and I need to get wet.

Ponce sounds good to me

Which is better sheltered for a 20-25 knot northeast wind? I'll ride either, but want to minimize the washing machine effect.

At Ponce you can ride inside the inlet. At the spot (you're not supposed to name it Butti:poke: ) I don't think that'll be an option with all the fishing lines.

the forecasts are calling for vic at sea conditions.i think i may save my gas for when it cleans up.there will be waves for the next couple weeks.hopefully we will get a couple days of long period ground swell in there somewhere:fingersx:

Ponce will be more sheltered from the wind, I would think. The rocks work to our advantege sometimes
