Super Jet Bilge system

I just bought a new SJ and was thrown off by the bilge system or lack there of. On my sxr it has a drain plug in the back to let out whatever water got into the hull. I understand theres a stock bilge that you have to just cruise straight for a little while but i took in waaaay more water than that on my sxr doing fountains and stuff. Regularly had to get it up on the dock and just drain it. Whats the deal with the SJ?! Just cruise until its empty..... I know i need to get a bilge setup. Anyone point me to a complete kit? I ride lakes only, no surf. I tried searching and have read some but haven't run across a kit yet. Figured i'd 5200 a bilge to the floor and just have a dash switch. Thanks

the stock bilge is a syphon system. think of it as a baby scupper/drain as that his how the physics work. as you go it builds pressure at the pick up and it drains out to the pump cavity.

wamiltons and blowsion both have complete kits, but i prefer the OCD solutions kits, wires into the E-box (remove heat sensor which most do with a high comp head), no added cabels to the battery. just have to wire in a switch, either at the bars or dash. can run 1 or 2 pumps off his kits, just buy the right one.

good luck,

Yea run duals while your doin it. Epoxy to the bottom is always the best and cheapest way. My last 2 skis I used jb weld then a 2 part marine epoxy, both held great

I have an aftermarket bilge pump in. I ripped the syphon system out and wish I hadn't because I am getting a ton of water in my hull. It's causing me to have issues as far as bogging down and not running right. Help

put the stock siphon back in and make sure the 90 degree fitting is zip tied above the water line. if you leve you ski sittin in the water, water flows back thruogh the siphon.

Order the dual bracket kit from blowsion "it holds two Rule 500 pumps and the stock syphon", the wiring kit from OCD Solutions, then order your switch of choice. Your superjet will love you forever.

I'm gonna go for the duals and just 5200 them down. Still not sure which way i want to wire them. Going to get the kit from OCD but which way do most people wire? Into the ebox vs just wiring them up to the battery? Any drawbacks to wiring into the ebox/how difficult is the install vs just connecting to the battery? Bought some shrink wrap and 5200, so now i just needs to get the funds for the kit. Was gonna do the armor switch at the dash somewhere, any suggestions? Also suggestions on the billet thru-holes? Thanks

Boyer - what would it cost (is it doable) for an adapter to convert a single bilge kit into a dual?

I actually meant to make a couple up this weekend but ran out of time. Cost shouldn't be too much and the wiring will handle two pumps, just need to upgrade the fuse.

How much length will you want on the wires? I'm thinking a short lead of about 4" and then 6" leads from the fork?.?.?.
