I totally get where you are going now. :arms: I just had to look at it from the perspective of a different sport!:banghead:

Now,lets figure out what those levels are. We have to ask ourselfs what is no longer am? And personally I think the three classes at Nationals/WFs would be great. But only the two at the regional events. Because currently in the am class, there are definitely different level of rider capability. And in pro as well, but regionally there are not enough riders to support this structure.

With an Expert class, some of the top Am could move up (Guys like Ratti, Bogart doing nasty tricks) and some of the lower level pros could come down to compete and everyone would be more competitive to win titles in a more competitive atmosphere in each class. The Malones versus the malones. Better than average freestylers competing!:smile: And the less intense/newer guys against eachother.

Bogey will be competing Pro next year....... He would have already gone pro after 2003 season but had shoulder injuries that set him back a while............


I like the idea of a 3 tier system, but I just dont see it happening, unless all those people who voted "Why I dont compete" would get off their butts and start competing!!!!!!!!!!! It is not about the win, but the fun and comraderie that is there....... You were at Myrtle Beach, you understand what I am talking about..... what other sport do you see the competitors rushing into the water to help another competitor when they have boat problems.

i still think your all nuts....... make amateur competition a lightly modifeid stock class for those who pay their own way......... make it a trophy only class (meaning no cash payouts ...... or very minimal cash payouts) to discourage those who are destroying the competiton to hang around and sandbag........ make pro a run what u brung class with payouts that equal pro events..... if u wanna do a middle weight class then design some rules for it and stick to them.... but as it stands now it seems like guys have to much to gain by hangin around in the amateur class when they should be spending more time riding and sending out sponsorship letters so they have the talent and the boats to compete as pros like they want everyone to look at them as

poop or get off the pot plain and simple........ wanna compete then compete.... dont compete in a class that u think u can easily win...... and dont run a professional caliber boat in an amateur category.......

It was a payout from Games and Flix, but had they not been there then Malone would not have gotten that, he would have gotten the payout from the APBA............ Bonus money is not part of normal payout, sometimes they add that kind of stuff at the last minute.
