you have some attitude control. not as much as I've seen FMX guys have but there is some control. Can you control the attitude of the ski in the air easily. I am thinking not, if you pull up with your footholds it wont bring the front end of the ski down it tucks the back of it up into your a**crack right? It is easy on a bike with the brake and throttle, but I am just curious as to how easy.... or hard it is to manipulate a 300 lb jetski in the air.

On a no hander I can definatly bump my gut into the bars and flaten it out a bit but that might have something to do with not having a pole on my SJ. I can't change it from nose up to nose down like the FMX guys or even close to it.it's very difficult to twist and change the attitude of the ski in the air
...and like you said, lifting the tray w/ your footholds doesn't do anything unless you are trying to prejump whitewater, or clear a doubled up wave....
:haha: :haha: :haha: ..ahhh.. famous last words..

My name is Yamanube and I am a dumper jumper...I have a video but unfortunately its not on my computer, and when I land, I land straight legged also when I take off its just at the apex that I pull it up.
I agree 100%. I feel like every jump I make that doesn't include a trick was wasted. I feel that way about no handers too. I always think I could have done better.at least grab the nose or the rails. Make something of it.
Secondly if people are going to air out all straight and stiff, at least grab the nose or the rails. Make something of it.
NO! that is a valuable lesson for eveyone who wants to learn a lot of tricks in les than a life time. perfect waves don't happen and good waves are rare. I used to think, I'll pass on this wave, I'll wait for the next one but that gets you no where. the next "good enough" wave may not come for the rest of the day or for the rest of the summer. so I try to do what ever trick I need to work on for every wave that I'm in position to jump.true. we're too hard on ourselves i think.
On the no hander note. Stretch them out, I hate the lame hang the hands out or up w/o stretching them out and holding them there until last minute.

I know I've heard you complain about flat landings before, you don't think it's related?
I think you are missing the point. I'm encouraging people to look better while in the air. I also don't know any tricks that start from bent knees in mid air. I suppose a rail grap could work. I assure you any bent jump I make is a mistake.possibly yes and no...I'm guessing more to do with my weak azz technique and less to do with stylish points for bend or non bend... but I'll be the first to laugh if you never bend your legs on jumps... I'd be happy to point it out for you next time. :cool2:
