You can't build them strong for under $60

Casters - $4.00 each
Elbows - $2.00
Cleanout Ts - $3.00 each
Ten Feet of 3" PVC - $20.00
Purple prep - $3.00
Happy Glue* - $3.00

Factor in shipping at $130 for UPS Next Day Air

That's only about $5 markup.

i emailed him and he said the parts cost over 80 and the right tools are expensive. i told him a hack saw is less than 20 dollars and that is the only right tool you need. he said that it would not be square if the end of the pvc was not cut straight. i guess his tubing is smaller than the fittings. last time i checked you cannot put pvc together and the pipe not come out of the fitting straight.

I actually went to the store and was going to build one of these too and found the price of everything to be quite a bit higher than I expected (over $60 for sure) that was also at HomeDepot though. I can almost guarantee this guy sells at least 1, if I had the time and patience I would probably do it too...there is people out there that will buy them, maybe not on this website but I can think of one....and deffinitely people who do not frequent the internet much!

shonuff is right on........

once you buy the glue you'll have enough for a 4-5 stands....

i used to build my beach stands out of pvc.....they work great until they are impacted, then they break.....but I have had a couple that lasted 2-3 seasons......

you can build it in about 20 mins....the cutting is the time consuming part

oh yeah, and 2" is fine for standups.........3" for runabouts...

Yea, PVC gets very very brittle in cold weather, if you merely flex it at all, it will crack and break. I used to make R/C airplanes out of PVC gutterpipe (for the fuse) and have since switched to something else. I would always have a cracked fuse when I belly landed hard in the winter, and this was 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 thick stuff too.
