X2....this isn't just about steering straight. An improperly adjusted steering system can easily bend/destroy your very expensive steering cable

Make certain that whilst adjusting the steering it bottoms out on the steering stop not the cable.

Got the bilge pump/switch wired, Stock Flame Arrestor, and New Steering cable put on.....The steering now hits the steering stop on each side, however when the Steering is straight the jet is still just a hair off(like if you wernt looking for it you wouldnt really notice it)...Both of the connectors(bars and Jet) are turned about as far as i can get them...What could be causing it to be slightly off?

If it is slightly off, just disconnect the cable from the nozzle or turnplate, spin the collar a turn or two one way or the other and reconnect.

Move that ball on the turnplate to the outermost hole for quicker steering too.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Disconnect the steering cable from the turn plate and from the nozzle.
2. Measure the throw of the cable (the amount it moves inside the sleeve) - should be about 3.5 inches.
3. Move the cable ends so that you are right in the middle of the throw (about 1.75 on each end).
4. Center the bars and center the nozzle.
5. Adjust the barrels on both ends of the steering cable so that with everything centered (bars, nozzle, cable), they fit without moving any component.

youre adjusting both ends of the cable correct? what year ski is this on? maybe you bought the wrong cable, there are 3 different ones. 90-95, 96-07, 08-12

hopefully you bought the 96-07 as they give you the most throw, but if you have a 96-07 ski and got a 90-95 cable itll be too short and youll have the problem you are having right now.. and if you got a 08-12 it will also be too short. the cable is red right?
