Custom/Hybrid Sxr 1200

Wow. That looks awesome. How did the single front motor mount work out. What pump you using? Killer build dude!

thanks! front mount worked good, but i had to move fuel tank forward a few inches ,glassed mounting pads in the hull (for all 3 ultra mounts) i plan on trying to adapt a 148mm pump assy/nozzle/trim from a zxi 1100. if not, will just have to go the mag pump route..

is it done yet??? must see video!! also that exhaust is wicked did you manufacture it yourself?

the ski clinic in antioch ca., did one of these build. Very cool indeed! They even put the gas tanks in both sides of the bunks to save space and it barely fit in. They dropped the 150 pump in as well. The one downside is that it is sooo heavy and you can feel it in the turns and how it sits in the water.

NICE BUILD!!

We did a build like this before. Have to find pics. Even got a write up on it in the Jan issue of ProRider. Ran the Ultra 150 motor, pump, pipe and waterbox. Had to make custom tanks that fit in the foot wells (1.5gal ea). Our scale maxes at 400lbs, so we have no idea how much it weighed, but it was a rocket ship. Waterbox kept it quiet, but it was doing about 70 on pump gas.

got my pump in and mounted for good, filled and opened up the pump shoe to fit the 148 pump inlet, made a adjustable trim knob in case i wanna fine tune trim angle of nozzle, can be accessed via the "reach around" between runs

It takes a while to build up the RPMs, but once it starts climbing, it doesn't stop. Seemed like no matter how long you held the throttle, it would just keep on getting faster and faster, like there was no end. I'll see if I can find some pics of the build.

What did you do to seal the pump to the hull? Looks like cut-down pump ears and inserts for smaller bolts into hull, but can't tell if there's a seal or just silicone.

Very cool project!

Pump ears are cut down, ears bolt to fabbed pump shoe adaptor, pump bolts into hull in stock location with fabbed brackets.. pump seals to hull with silicone..(for now)

PICS OF THE GUNWALE TANKS I've wanted to do that for a while but I thought i would get more then 3 gallons
