Alright well price dosnet matter at the moment
I have a deal worked out with a guy either way,
So without putting a dime more into my engine,
Woul a 61X ported cylinder or a 64X ported cylinder make more brapp!?

Without knowing the details, you can only get generic answers. It's like asking if human or dog turds smells worse. Totally dependent on who did the porting and how the engine was setup in the first place.

I've been told by the seller that it is a way better freestyle setup. More bottom end out of a 701 that's been ported than a 760 that has I guess

I'm running a Jetmaniac 62t cases with 61x cylinder bored to 84 so it's a 760cc ... Ported and epoxied by Blue... B pipe ported to match and BB ported head pipe, dual blackjack 46's, boyeson, msd enh, 200 compression.... This motor setup pulls like crazy, everywhere ... I built this setup for my 3 sons 8,9 & 11 & dropped it in a 2011 SJ hull...

For a budget motor it rips... Most guys stick to oem 38's, but 46's really made this motor rip...


Bore your 61x cylinder to 84 ... 760cc with the right port timing...you will be happy

You'll need to step up to bigbore sleeves for 760 bore on a 61x cyl. Just get art at Jetworks to port your 61x/62t motor and buy a bpipe. That will have way more power than you have now.

No point going with big bore sleeves till you have a pipe

Bore your 61x cylinder to 84 ... 760cc with the right port timing...you will be happy

best budget engine you could build....we call it a st augustine special


61x/61x
bore to 48
single 48mm carb
2-3mm timing advance
Bpipe bore to 48-50 and restrict the water at the pipe stinger

YOU CAN TAKE A 61X CYLINDER AND BORE IT TO 84mm WITHOUT CHANGING SLEEVES .... Been done, running it ... Only down fall is no more bores at 84mm.....but so what, 61x cylinders are cheap

What klevbo was getting at is the motor is only part of the package. It doesn't matter how big your motor is, if you carb and pump isnt tuned for properly it will run like crap. If you really want a bigger motor, you'll need a new impeller and decided whether you want bigger carbs or rejet the ones you've got.

Like Josh said, 61x bored to 760 w/ 84mm pistons will rip. Carbs will be a huge difference maker.

Or you could sell your current motor and buy a ported motor already built for cheap and run some really good carbs and really wake it up.

Well I am on a huge budget so I cant be buying 1100$ engines
Just thought if I could have a ported 760 for the price I was told by the seller I would have a pretty awesome freestyle engine.
Im guessing I couldnt get much for selling my 64X engine with a Pro-Tec head with 151-151 Compression?

Just run what you got or sell it and buy a stock 701, then save for a bpipe

More than you want to spend.
I'd suggest to just put the BOB together with what you have right now, especially since your current setup runs well.
Ride it for a while, get used to it, and then determine what you need to progress.
