Custom/Hybrid skat or maxx pump review questions

i need to order a 148 pump this week whether its the new thrust, skat or maxxx been talking to maxx like the price and fast responses has anyone done a true test on a maxx pump vs a skat ive heard they dont work as good but wanted a legit comparison,thanks

I ordered 2 maxx 148 yamaha pumps a couple weeks ago....


After I paid I was told, it would take 1 week to build the pump. After 1 week he email me back and said production would start the following monday which would have been the 9th


In the same email he mention the chinese new year is the 28th of January so pump might be late



No word as of yet

Me & Idok bought the 2 he posted about above, was hoping to have it within 3 wks.. My new Dasa will be here in 2-3 wks...

But 148 S/B one Piece is what we got coming... Idok is running a 1000cc Xscream motor & I'm installing a new Dasa 1200

I have a 148 Max , the leading and trailing edges need to be massaged as they almost look shear cut .

Tem have you seen his new pumps, all SS 1 piece just like my skat 148 was? I seen the first Maxx pumps and didnt like them, but the new version all S.S was very nice looking... Tricky had one I got to look at...

I will be running the Shredder soon, Brian is still working on the wear ring... I bought the Maxx pump because I wanted a 148 ASAP, will put the maxx in my Fix Steer after the shredder is done...

Agreed, the new one piece Maxx 148mm pump is a nice bit of gear...Is it as aesthetically pleasing as the Skat? No, but it's damn close...

I've never had any problems buying from Maxx...

I got the new one piece 148 maxx stainless mag pump and it works perfectly and lokks awesome

Don't worry josh, you'll get it eventually

from what Ive seen the maxx was aestheically MORE PLEASING than the skat

got a brand new PFP and thrust trim ready to install but not gonna do it until there i have some traction

supposed to be same as skat i got one coming so ill let you know, does anybody know if oem bearings and seals fit in these pumps? im guessing they do

Yes OEM bearings and seals... The drive shaft maxx supplies is very soft and dont last.. Call Chris Jetmaniac for the correct oem length shaft that will last...

The Maxx pump is heavier than a Skat, so Ive been told...

Problem with the 150 is no one has props, everything has to be custom from skat... I ran a 150 with my Dasa 1100, ski performed better with the 148...
