Well, I thought I would try to post what I have done so far and what I have left to do.
First I must say pat at X Metal Works has to be one of the nicest guys to deal with for parts he told me flat out what I needed and didn’t try to sell me something that I didn’t need like some company’s will, and Kevin at legdrag.com who has some awesome information for whatever you want to do to your ski.

Ok, I am starting my list with a 2005 sxr with a factory dry pipe, K&N air filters soon there after rejetted the carbs, added a bilge pump and x metal works scupper. Tonight I just started cutting up the tray and am getting ready for some wamiltons rickter foot holds. I have not put on yet and will post pics of my new X metal handle pole with carbon chin pad, X metal steering plate and bars, U.M.I. bearing kit and X metal throttle. Here are some of the pics of the foot hold install. If you have any questions about cutting or placement I would be happy to help answer any of your questions.

Here is a pic of the foot hold cut into the tray on the left side

and here is a pic of the right side. Be careful of the exhaust as my holds are as far back as possible and still I am pressing against the exhaust tube as it is.

Mine exhaust wasn't so high. I used 24/7 Universals. Keep an eye on that dry pipe. They are known to crack (in about 10 places).

Block off your front air intake and cut another in the back and get some hood straps. (I lost my hood about 10 times before adding them). Should be a killer boat. No reinforcement needed!!

If you dont already have the Dry Pipe, please, get the Wet Pipe, Like DJ said, they crack, if your going to be riding in the surf, than it will be more prone to............. if you already have it, put it up for sale and still get the wet pipe.
It makes better bottom end power anyhow.

dont worry, factory pipe has at least 11 versions of the dry pipe, all reinforced different, to stop cracks. Im pretty sure the latest set up is ok. Look at the coupler where the pipe meets the manifold, and see what letter is stamped there

I've put in 2 sets of Blowsion Klowners footholds in my 2 sxrs. Don't worry about the pipe. you can bang on it a little and smoosh it down about an inch and it wont affect the tuning. I actually extended the Klowners to go all the way to front of tray so i have a place to put my feet anywhere.

Rickters

Looks like you are going to have alot of fun this winter!

Yea that damn exhaust sucks, I ended up hitting it too when I installed my rickters.
I have ridden Mark Gomez's yamaha with rickters and really liked the feel. I have an SXR and was wondering if due to the higher rail than the yamaha, does the rail hurt your ankles with the rickters? thankyou, Wes
