Super Jet Removing steering cable

I just got an aftermarket steering cable/adapter and I'll try to put it on tonight and be ready for tomorrow. Any tips or tricks for easy removal or it should be an easy straight forward process? Its a 2010 Superjet with stock pole..

Thanks!

Its the XM cable with adapter.. any idea where that adapter goes? :)

ok, my ignorant ass cant figure this out.. I guess there will be some drilling into the pole involved to secure the aluminum piece.

Putting the stock back.. will do it another time after I get some help from the gurus here :)...

Xmetal adapter for '08-up sj poles? I am a dealer and never heard of them making one.

If the steering cable is for a pre '08, then it has 2" more throw. The bracket would have to recess the cable mounting area 2" into the pole recess.

Hey Chris, so thats why the bar feels kinda loose even if I tighten up the nut to the point where the steering gets so stiff that it wont turn? I guess the pre-08 bushings are not the exact size as for the post-08 pole? Then I need a new plate I guess lol.. :)

No, all sj turnplates and bushings sn and rn are basically the same. Did you grease the bushings?
