Super Jet HELP SN to RN Midshaft/housing difference

Hey guys ive recently bought a roundnose hull and im in the process of transfering everything off my sqaurenose.
Now ive just discovered that the intermediate housings have a different bolt pattern. Im going to have to get a newer housing but can anyone tell me if the mid-shaft will fit this newer roundnose intermediate housing or not??

94 or newer squarenose housing will transfer, 93 and older u will need a new one. mark gomez has one for sale right now

My parts book says they are both 160mm and they interchange

x2, Lengths are the same, however, older SN shafts are thinner and weaker at the coupler and have smaller threads so you cannot install a/m couplers from ADA or Cold Fusion.

Oh my bad i thought my bob had a shorter midshaft from a sn. Must have just been the housing..?

Dont forget to make sure there is 20mm of shaft hanging out the back of the housing.

That's not always possible with aftermarket hulls.
You need to make sure that you have 100% spline engagement with the pump shaft. IMO that's more important than 20mm out the back.

Some bob hulls have shorter midshafts from GP760's

That's not always possible with aftermarket hulls.
You need to make sure that you have 100% spline engagement with the pump shaft. IMO that's more important than 20mm out the back.

I agree, but just to clarify you want 100% spline engagement which will leave about 3/16" of splines underlap on the driveshaft. In other words, you need the oem amount of underlap to allow for movement of engine/midshaft without binding/overengagment.
