I hate shallow water when we have 3-5 foot waves... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I usually just practice re-entries there, but I started watching a friend and got popped by a wave I didn't see coming.

Nice! :cheer:

Maybe we should have thought about the water level being way down this fall. You should see it down by Hoak's. It's pretty shallow. I still need to get underneath mine and survey the damage. Hopefully it won't be that bad! All I've seen so far is a long scuff and two chunks of the rib missing.

Dude, my ski is starting to look like arse now... slowing developing a patchwork of repairs. I just need to eek out one more year with it... then maybe a WCF hull could be in my future...

Yea, but are you gonna wanna ride that new WCF hull in the surf zone? That's a lot of money to be breaking chunks off the hull all the time. Especially considering the better you get, the more you are going to want to ride in there!

well... that's like a year away anyway... I'll just keep repairing the RN for now and see what happens. I can't help it though... I love that area!

what'd you hit? i saw carnage and was about to call you out of practicing backy's!

Practicing re-entries... I think I hit a rock in a place we call "the zone". It's a super shallow area that really jacks up when it we get waves. Not a good area for jumping, nose stabs, BF's or even BR's if you're not good at them. No sand, all shall bottom with the occasional rock.

I've attempted only 3 backy's... all were unsuccessful... but my last one was about 2/3's around. Can't get past my failure to arch... need to really work on that.

No cool buzz... left the crown at home. I wish I did have it then though!

I pulled the motor out of the RN, it's done for the season... too much work to do on it. I'll have to ride the SN for the rest of the season.

Oh, and don't tell Jackie I "work majic with my fingers" while working on skis... she'll think I depriving her of something...
