Super Jet please help with this elec issue before I lose it

Ive toyed with a meter in the past and found nothing concrete,It seemed like when you have the extra parts to swap in it was faster than screwing with diagnosing with the meter, that I didnt have much knowledge of to begin with, just a long ass paper of instructions on 10 things to do to check, whats your procedure with the dmm in this situation

also I had 3 cdi to test with, one was brand new,so it wasnt the cdi causing the no start issue, but it prolly is the cdi causing the momentary stop button to function as a hold stop button, prolly has a internal cdi relay thats craped out

Close to a stock flywheel. There are reasons why I don't like charging aluminum flywheels. They are expensive to begin with and did you read the warranty period on that little white sheet of paper? I'm not saying your problem is the flywheel, I hope its something simple that has just been overlooked.

If you do check the field make a wooden spacer so you can measure the field strengths at the same distance and move the meter to make sure the field ends are evenly spaced on all the magnets.

Check rectifier, unplug it and try start. If it works, you need a new rectifier. I had a WB2 come in that would fire then die, tested everything and then unplugged rectifier as a last resort and it worked

rectifier is a voltage regulator right? How would one of these cause the timing to be off,or even in your case cause the ski to cut off,I thought all they do is send power back to the batt for charging? anyone know the answer to this?

So far all I know is swaping out the tbm fw to a stocker got the ski running,Id like to run the tbm on another ski to see what happens.it makes sense cause the ski looked to be firing perfectly during testing,it was just WAY out of time.I also tested it with a set of plugs in the motor and another set in the wires grounded, still looked like it was firing fine under a load

if you look at the first post, after I removed the fw and put it back on with another stator its started once fine, then started backfiring and then wouldnt fire at all,Im guessing a magnet is moving inside the FW

rectifier controls charging voltage to aprox 14.4 volts on my digital meter and I recall reading on here at least 2 amps...I do not think it will affect timing, you can run ski fine with recifier not working...

tested the tbm flywheel, moving metal inside the cup of the wheel,it indeed has a loose magnet,it moves a bit in each direction,Its crazy that throws the timing off so far the ski wouldnt even try to start, would have thought it would just advance or retard just a bit?

my 98 was fried when I first got it(crispy), ran fine but wouldn't charge the battery.

Got another 62t stator in from a bud on the X,Ill give it a shot with both the flywheels and the epic and see what I get
