I learned how to ride on a 550 in the late eighties/early nineties.

Was out of riding for about six or seven years, but remained loyal to Kawi's when I got back into riding with a 1994 750SX in 2000. I wish I had NEVER gotten that ski. I spent a chunk of change with Blowsion for a hoodliner, handholds, footholds, etc. etc.

After riding a buddy's Superjet, I purchased a 1996 round nose and haven't looked back. It all depends on your preferences and riding style, but in my book, Yamaha is THE BEST. :cool2:

Oh yeah, your original post.

SXIPRO for $1200. That is a good deal if its running good. Not a bad ski. I can still have fun on those, if they have footholds.

As to the original question . . . for $ 500.00 or so maybe, just for an oddball project ski, just to have something different to tinker with . . . . . but not for no $ 2000.00 price tag. . . . . . .

On the issue of SuperJets . . . . . . . yeah, the completely suck ! What with all that great power, bottom and pull and that pesky "alway runs" thing . . . .

I really do hate mine . . . they're boring I never have to work on them ! . . . sheah . . . what fun is that ?

There's a Yamaha dealer just across town . . . . . I've never been there, they tell me it's nice . . . . . .

I got tired of wrenching on Kawi's a long time ago, once you start to modify them it's nothing but work . . . . . . I have had MRD injected Stroker motors in my Superjets . . . never lost any reliability. Can't speak for the SXR's though, I would hope they have improved things since the old days . . . . . .

Well I have top put my two cents in also , I have a thunderjet f15,love the way it handles and since it runs 50 out of the box I really dont have to tinker with it to much.It is very light also.Would I pay 2000.00 for one ,no I wouldnt and I didnt. Is it a kewl ski yes it is very kewl.Does it break a lot.no I havent put anthing on it other than spark plugs and batteries as of yet.Is it my only ski no not by a long shot,it is fun as hell however and I dont think i will ever get rid of it.:woot:

Yamaha builds some damn good motors thats for sure, sure everything has some problem or another but they are damn hard to beat, heck anything is better than a Seadoo...I know I race one.LOL

WHATS WRONG WITH BEING "THAT KAWI GUY" I DONT SUCCUMB TO YAMAHA PRESSURE!!! i think i bleed likme green too.:woot:

That is right stay strong you have to stand for something...... and remember that while your riding across the lake watching the SJ's blast off of the waves getting more air than you are dreaming about ... LOL

I am like most others had a Kawi there was no way that I was going to ride a yamaha. Hell my last 4 bikes were Ninjas and then 2 Kawi jet skis. I lived for Kawasaki Well I tried one and WOW there so light and nimbel and the power Heck I was out of the water 2 feet in no time. So I bought one... Then I went riding with Mark44 and the StLouis Crew at the Mississippi and they couldn't understand how I could jump that high without a wave. Then I let Mark ride mine and then he had to buy one.

One by one the lime green blood fades to Blue
