SXR Installing a versiplug below the exhaust outlet.

Location

Was wondering if anyone has installed a versi-plug below the exhaust outlet on an SXR or Superjet? I have noticed that the hull will fill with water in the right gunwhale side and has no way to drain except for the small hole in the bulkhead behind the stock siphon bilge block. I was maybe thinking of installing a time-sert for the plug to thread into. There is enough room as long as I don't have the stock threaded flange. Just enough for threads. Any opinions on this? How are you superjet guys doing this mod as well?

I wouldn't worry about that small amount of water on a stock sxr. The styrofoam won't get heavy...Just tilt it to the left as you pull the trailer out of the water.

I would like to drain that water while riding. It comes back into the bilge and takes forever for the bilges as such to get the water out. I will just be one more place to ditch the water and also keep the water weight down.

Did you use a time-sert?

No, I originally used some generic drain plugs I ordered from Overton's a few years ago.
Last year I screwed versiplugs into.the threaded piece instead of the plugs.
Check out my build thread, it should have detailed pictures.

Saw the pics. Nice. I am not sure if I have enough room under my exhaust outlet for the threaded flange. I might have to order one up and test
