10-Foot Waves Cause Injuries At Daytona Beach

reference to a ww2 movie/documentary and the rough ocean conditions depicted in it....so i've been told.

i've just always seen it in surf reports and got used to using it to describe big burly windblown surf.

speaking of Daytona, anyone going today (thurs)? Everyone I know has to work. As much as I'd like to I know better then to go solo. If anyone will be in that area and don't mind a guest at the party let me know where you are launching from.

Now im not sure if I should bring the SJ or the couch to tow-in at Monster hole. I have someone that wants to trade tow-in but I can't seem to find any other "pole ski" riders. Guess I'll wait to see what it looks like when I get out of work at 2ish.

if you are comfortable on your SJ then I'd go that route....bigger ski's arent as maneuverable when you need to move...

we have seen 15-18 foot faces at ponce inlet (thats where everyones going today), and I talked to Nick and he said it was bigger yesterday...

the waves get to be so big you just stare at them

I am comfortable on my SJ to wave ski and some jumping. I wish I was out of work now I would head up to Ponce Inlet. It was bigger yesterday but the wind was blowing onshore all day. It's a no brainer I'm taking the SJ today and forget about lazy surfing. :Banane09:

Scott-
They were good  . There were waves breaking over the bell bouy. One of the biggest days I've seen (besides Wednesday evening when we went out). I just left at lunch time from work and we met everyone at Ponce. I think I need a cane to walk, but I can definately ride tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.:woot:
I'll post pics tomorrow.
