In terms of tweaking, I'm basically just saying that any new hull requires that personal touch so it handles just the way you want it to. With a normal hull, you just adjust the pole and rideplate and you're typically done. With this hull, I was constantly trying to find that happy medium between good cruising and maneuverability while still being able to control it at low speed. I think I've finally gotten it where I like it though.
I see what you meant by 2nd completed (totally outside). I didn't pick up on that. I don't run any flotation. I run dual scupper out of the back and I have a 800gph bilge pump that runs 100% of the time. So far the only close calls I've had were because the bilge pump wasn't installed or wasn't working.
In terms of the hood liner... You may be able to come up with something but keep in mind that the flame arrestors, b pipe, and even the spark plug wires stick up into the hood. That is certainly something I'd like to do but it won't be easy.[/QUOTE
im running dual scuppers, and a bilge, i have the the stuff to run a 2nd bilge, but gotta get the bilge outa a differt hull thats laying around back... i want to make more of a wall instead of a liner, i just want to seal off the back 1/4 of the hood and fix my air tubes to that, i have the templets cut out of cardboard, and was planning on doing that when i put in the hand holds...
thats encouraging that ur not running floatation either, i was going to use dirtbike innertubes back in the gunnals, and maby 1 in front the tank.. just maby shove them in deflated, and fill them up till they fit snug??
