gp800 66e motor???

I have some novi carbs for a 800 yammie engine
if anyone wants them then $650 takes them away

Hey wax, do think you could convert one of your ignitions to work with the 66e motor. I think the stator is the same as the 760's, I know the flywheel is the same and the taper on the front of the crank will fit the 701's flywheel also, however the stator is on the front cover. Any ideas?. I'd love to run your system instead of tl.

You put the R&D valves on it and your set. That eliminates all PV problems. Its only the stock set up that sucks and can break and drop a valve around 50 hours. No need for those WaveEater clips with the R&D also.

When I first moved here to Havasu I worked at a rental company and they had 6 GP800R's and I replaced all with the R&D valves and no more problems..
They werent a very good rental motor in those big hulls(Hence "ride it like a rental"), as i was repairing and rebuilding the motors quite often, but in a personal standup it would kick ass I'm sure.
I would love to do this project as would many others someday, so keep up the good work!

That is the main question, the port timing. However it does not seem to be as much of an issue as you would think. Same with the powervalve. On groupK's BB kit the valves are set in a fixed position or removed b/c it makes enough power at 927cc's to not really need powervalves. Plus the 800's have a problem with dropping valves into the cylinder anyway so it eliminates that issue. Evidentally they are getting the 800 to accelerate along side the gp1200 and the gains are quite significant throughout the RPM's. My interest is peaked with this package thus far!!??:sneaky:But how does this work in a stand up?????
i think you confusing some of the info : harry said his sleeper kit will '' accelerate along side the gp1200 and the gains are quite significant throughout the RPM's ''' that was not a big bore statment that was the sleeper statment ! correct me if im wrong here but didn't harry also say the big bore will not significantly out preform the sleeper kit for the xtra money spent ! $450 sleeper vs $1300 bb without pipes ! close to 2-k with pipes ! FOOD FOR THOUGHT !:arms:

yes you could do it
you would run the sxr ignition as the flywheel is very close to the 760 flywheel as well

The Crank! 78mm stroke as opposed the the 68mm on a 701. That is like a 10mm stroker crank stock! (loosley speaking) Weight is about 25lbs and the 5mm stroker crank it is compared to is about 15lbs.

I want a stock looking 701 style electrical box with battery charging capabilities hooked up to my motor. Without searching through the other threads, is this available now? Last time I was reading about your ignitions they werent' ready yet.
