Seems like pretty much everyone that had a build last winter is selling or has sold their stunt already. I was initially interested in one but glad I didnt jump on it. Anyone else feel the same way?

I often think about aftermarket hulls, but the stunt was never once on my list. The only reason for that is knowing who made it. Not trying to be a dick, but the build quality - if you could call it that - and attitudes of Highroller, Goose, and a couple others always made it clear that their "products" should be avoided.

joking aside, once all the bugs and test\tune is done its a hell of a lot more fun than my superjet with the same components, I think everyone of the stunt crew can agree there. Would I have payed $1000 more for another hull that was really ready to ride\bolt on parts? YES. Im not backing highroller up,because by all means I dont like the guy the way he screwed a lot of people. but I still think its the cheapest hull, next comes nickwad's hull (hull in thailand), then BOB, is cheap good? No because like I said I would have rather payed some more money to get a complete ready to bolt on components hull.
All in all, I wouldnt give $1 to the guy, even if it meant the next cheapest hull was 1k more, and Im glad I didnt have to deal with him.

i thought about it when it was the "talk of the X" for awhile. I even put in good words for Dan about being a man of his word and a bunch of other stuff when he started his Stunt thread.
i had met Dan and his Father when he was with Paul Lehr, and they came to my house during the World finals about 5 years ago.. I thought he was a stand up guy(no pun intended).
I would like to now take everything back that I said. In fact I think I'll go delete it now, because it makes me sick to think of how he treated some people....
Its like i had said before. This industry is very small and its just like running a business in a small town. Once the word gets out that you dicked some peeps, its all down hill from there. Word of mouth is very powerful for a business whether its good or bad...

That's funny you say that. I kinda think its the opposite with jet skiers. How many posts are there on here about certian builders/company's that have screwed people over and over and over... and they are still in business and skiers on this site keep going back to them. :shrug:

I do have to agree with you, how many waterdawg posts are there saying they got screwed by them and they never answer the phone, and then people still keep buying stuff from them and dont get parts... Its like a never ending cycle b\c people cant search:thumbsdown:

The difference is that WDK actually makes some quality parts now and then
I was so close to ordering a stunt hull, after reading all the build threads I am glad I didn't. Ended up going with a used REV partly because there where very few reviews on the stunt and I didn't have time to completely build the hull before Daytona. The stunt was a good idea, poorly executed. IMO the BOB picks up everywhere the stunt fell short and the extra money is by far worth the superior construction/finish. I have yet to ride one of these super short hulls, and I don't think I would ever commit to one without riding it first but I think Dan really gave riders/builders a kick in the pants at least to move/think in a different direction and that seems to be working very well for riders on a limited budget.

I dont have anything to say because ive never ordered anything from him. and if that comment was directed to be an insult to highrollers stuff, then no insult taken. I know his stuff is crap you dont have to tell me!

With WDK we really only hear one side of the story and have to assume all is correct or something wasn't left out. I'm not saying Jeff hasn't hosed anyone over or screwed up, but to give Jeff some credit, he makes some good products for good prices. I don't have a problem doing business with him, but I'll drive down and pick it up at his shop for larger items. Of the smaller orders I've made, he's shipped it out the same or next day. He has his hands full with running the front of the business while working in the back. You might be calling when he's laying glass, you never know. I've called 5x a day for a week and couldn't get through, but didn't leave a message. I emailed and had a call back in an hour. I'm just saying, how many "I can't get a hold of Jeff" comments are put out there because they tried calling three times and nobody answered and the caller didn't leave a voice mail and didn't email?

I'm very happy that I ordered a Trinity. It may be his cheapest version, but the quality is PERFECT. This is the ONLY hull I've seen that hasn't leaked water in the first year. Bobby is a perfectionist. I have yet to hear any complaints from any customers. I can't imagine anyone ordering any other aftermarket hull.

Personally I wouldnt get one. the cheapest ones being around 4.5k but the weight isnt impressive. almost as heavy as a stock hull. I think for the price-to-weight ratio can be better found elsewhere

i couldnt be happier with my wdk razr hood, chinpad and lowerd bracket. nicest bracket ive seen yet. although i havnt bought anything directly from him
All the above is true what you say about Dan.But l think he got overwhelmed with the response to the stunt.And l don't say that in his defense.l never asked him for anything.l made the best of what l bought and feel satisfied.Others don't feel the same way and that is justified too.But there is a lot of design flaws in the ski.And you shouldn't blame Dan for that,l think that credit goes to Goose.

I'll state my opinion on this topic at the risk of insulting others and sounding like a dick but there is a lot of negativity regarding these hulls and I'm really beginning to resent all the negative implications directed at the current owners. The majority of the negativity belongs to the manufacturer but I also place some of the blame on the individual builders. All the people I've seen that have sold or are trying to sell stunt hulls either gave up before starting or gave up on the build when they bolted everything together and it didn't work perfect right out of the box.
Don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING good to say about Dan and the highroller name but I will say that if you expect a brand new custom hull to meet all of your expectations right out of the box, you're either dreaming or you need to spend a ridiculous amount of money. Look at the BOB hull... Great company but it's got it's issues too and it cost more than double that of a stunt hull.
One more thing I'd like to state about this is... I thoroughly enjoy my stunt hull and many people that have ridden it think it's a blast as well. Granted most would set it up a bit differently but when have you ever ridden someone else's hull and thought it was set up perfectly for you? My stunt has withstood a great deal of abuse as well. I don't ever want to go back to a stock hull. I will NEVER recommend anyone buy one from highroller but there are a select few stunt hull owners out there that have set up good hulls and enjoy them very much.

You say that almost everyone that built a stunt is selling it but personally I've seen more matrix's up for sale then stunts and they're supposed to be great build quality. Has anyone else noticed this? Or is it just me?

I think that could be due to the kind of people that buy the hull and maybe not the hull itself. A lot of the people who purchased them had the money just to try different high end things where the rest of us would have to sell our soul to afford a $6k hull and it becomes more of an investment than a hobby.
I have seen quite a few and while the craftsmanship looks top notch I wouldn't consider any of his hulls but the Matrix. I have ridden many different SXRs in all kinds of different stages and while the Trinity EVO hull is light and strong it is still an SXR and they still handle like an SXR IMO. Even with a fairly stout Xscream yamaha motor the EVO felt like a tank.
