zip-lock bags

I had some parts cleaned and reburbed at JSS. Everything came back looking great as expected, but even better were the cool little zip lock bags all the nuts and bolts were shipped back in.

I would really like to get some of these for holding parts while I have my ski strewn across the garage floor. They are a lot sturdier than the zip-lock sandwich bags I had been using.

Can anyone tell me where to find these? I emailed John a couple times but haven't heard back. I searched for them online for half an hour, but no luck (I'm not very good with "the google").

Anyone know where these ziplocks come from?

Do you really beat up the zip lock bags so much that you require a super sturdy bag to hold bolts? I put all mine in the el cheapo walmart bags and tossed them against the wall in the garage.

I'm just fairly 'OCD' about keeping things ultra neat and tidy.

For example, I have sent things to JSS for cosmetic reasons only, just so they come back looking super clean.

Just use a bunch of old spice containers. Peal the labels off then put masking tape and mark them. I have like a hundred of them and they work very well.

When I am working on my ski I generally stuff the hardware in my pockets..lol once my pockets are full I use the red plastic keg cups, got them all over the garage. I probably should have a better organization method.

I use clear tackle box containers. They usually come with piles of dividers so you can make whatever size pocket you want. you can stick tape or labels on the cover and label them on major projects. Works pretty good for keeping motor shims in the right place. Plus they're like 2 bucks and one big one will hold almost every bolt on a ski

That's actually a really good idea. Wish I had thought of that before.
