I'm in need of some help setting up dual 44mm SBN carbs on my SJ build. I purchased a pair of SNs a few months ago and a unused built 62T/61X motor was included with the skis. The owner claimed that he purchased the motor from a race team in California. I went through the motor and it has brand new +1.5mm pistons (~730cc), a very nice looking port job, and dual 44mm SBN carbs. Everything looks like it has been rebuilt and not ran yet. Compression is 195/195 with the girdled ADA head on it. I figured with as nice of a job as they did on the motor the carbs might already be set up properly. After dropping it in and firing it up, this does not appear to be the case. I pulled the carbs off and apart and everything looks perfect. Both jets in each of the carbs are 110s. Both screws in each carb were turned out 1 turn. Springs unknown. Can anyone give me a good starting point for these?
