They look better the way he did it and I plan to do mine that way.
Leave them!
I wear the "Rugged Shark" wet shoes while I ride so traction is not much of an issue. They work great!

The bottom is going to stay like it is. I was tying to do something different then everyone else. I'm my way to finsh the dash now. I'll post the pics when im done. If I were to do it again I think I would to the bottom last, and not first. This way you would not have to worry about droping glue on the bottom mat. When your doing the sides.

because pete does every one should?
the point is it does not matter what way you run it. pete is one of the best in the sport. if running the turf north south was a problem I don't think he would do it.

yep you should do the sides then the dash then the bottom. the sides are the hardest part. if you do them first you don't have to worry about getting the them perfect on the bottom since the pad and turf on the bottom will come up to meet it. my first turf job was rough too. just run it for a year or two and then start fresh. just find a buddy that has never turfed before and you can practice on his ski...

I am turfing my WR500 right now as a practice run.
Not quite as challenging as the WD REVs will be, but at least my stand-up wont be my first effort!
And the kids wont get so bruised up reboarding the WR and they will have nice footpads!!
