OK, someone had to start this thread. Nick, Pete and anyone else who were involved in the Daytona Freeride are AWESOME! It was a massive success from start to finish. The groundswell of freerides that built through 2004 and 2005 really crested and broke at Daytona, and the sport has truly entered a new era. The launch of this site really underpins that, and Daytona was the perfect event to announce it. I’m so excited about where the sport is going, and even more so to be here at the beginning.

You guys are awesome – people like you are the future of the sport. Thanks for everything, and for helping to usher in a New World Order.

I couldn't agree more. For this being an unofficially "organized" event, I don't think it could have gone off any more organized. Everyone pulled together and helped one another out when needed; new friends were made & like Brit said, the future began. I can't say it enough, but to Nick, Pete, Paul & all of those who made it possible, thank you & let's do it again, soon!

Hell yeah, this Motosurf was the shizinit!! Thanks to all who were involved with getting this thing pulled off. Even with my injury I still had a kick a$$ time. Especially thanks to Nick & Sara, Pete, & Paul for bringing a truckload of parts that helped many boats keep going. Just got home and already I am ready to go back.

the beach patrol there ROCKS too!

Great Job Nick & all involved. You Rock!:D Donating to the Lifeguards was a fantastic idea, now they're on our side fo sho & as long as we all behave we can hopefully look forward to many more events!

i thought that where the proceeds went fit like a glove. i mean, who else should it go to but the folks that are out there helping us? its us helping them help us. its a win/win situation. someone was thinking for sure. was that you, nick?

Thanks everyone.....

I had a total blast!!!! I really don't think things could have gone any better than they did... I just want to thank everyone for being so generous and respectful. Also a huge thanks to the sponsors for really stepping up to the plate to make this event more than just a bunch of guys riding.... These Freerides are the future of the sport and w/ great people like who showed up for this event, we will continue to grow and attract more people to the sport of freeride. I can't thank Pete, and Paul, our wives, Robert, Sherry for really helping me out and giving me undying support...

We had over 100 skis, 120 pilots, film crews, 44 rooms rented, spectators everywhere, and made $2,168 for Volusia County Junoir Lifeguard program... I call that a freaking awesome weekend!!! btw - I also want to give Joe Kenney props for giving me the idea to give to the Junior liguard program... He has done a lot of work w/ them in the past and I think that is the charity I will continue to work w/ They want to certify 500 kids in water safety this year and now they are fully funded to do so... We met there quota for the year!!!!!!!!! THANKS TO ALL YOU GREAT PEOPLE WHO CAME AND GAVE!!!!

We went home with tons of **** from the raffle. That was great. (Although I could do without that crazy chicks and party tricks video Hahaha) Almost everyone got SOMETHING and a couple people even got whacked in the head with flying prizes. Good times :D
