Yamaha & Kawasaki Flywheels

I was looking at a flywheel I have from my old kawasaki 650 and it looks Identical to my 6m6 flywheel. I haven't held them side by side but looking at pictures I can't find any differences. The stator looks different, like the coils are in a different location. Are they interchangeable or do they just look identical? I haven't found anthing in a search so they probably aren't

the gear ring is slightly offset i believe, or the yamahas has a longer "cup"
