I'm thinking the same thing for now. My Blaster might not be ready for Daytona, and if I get really into this project I could be without a ski...which would totally suck.
The guy I got this ski from claims it worked fine...(but that doesn't mean anything as far as I'm concerned).

Somebody PM Yamanube and see what his thoughts are. I know somewhere he posted a bunch of info on it. Or maybe SpecialFX did. One of those guys did not too long ago.

nube and I talked for a bit - I own his old fx-1. He had been riding it for a year or so with the 122 pump shoe, then I bought it and I rode it like that for a couple months. Bonzai Bob had posted somewhere that many people have ridden their fx-1's for years with the 122mm shoe and a 144mm pump.

I would put a ramp of silicon in there to smooth out the gap and then just ride it until you get around to the pump shoe

You're in Minnesota right? Don't expect we'll know your thoughts on the 144 pump shoe for quite a while then. Damn, I couldn't live there with such a short season.

yup its frozen up here! actually I wouldn't be of help any way because the next time I ride my ski I will have added a lot of mods along with the pump shoe (new pipe, head, prop).
