I'm parting it out.
EVERYTHING is for sale........

......(except the pump):nana:

BTW....it's a thing of beauty, lemme tell ya.
Full Pro Tec, like new, with freeride pump cone, Skat Trak cutback impeller(I forget the pitch), Pro Tec nozzle, etc. The thing is beatiful. I've looked at them on Blowsions website for I don't know how long, but at $1350 PLUS SHIPPING, without driveshaft, I knew I'd probably never pull the trigger.
I'll take some pics and post later.

The waterbox is stock.
As far as the pitch, I assume, from what Johnny told me, it's the standard freeride one that Blowsion sells with the complete set up, which I THINK is 13/18.

I'm gonna take the AC pole off of my other project ski, put it on my freeride FX-1, then put this pump in and hopefully at the very least I'll have ONE ski to ride at Daytona. My Blaster build is going very slow right now, and I'm might not have a ski to ride if I don't get the FX-1 finished. I could use another set of hands (literally:biggrin:). So close, but yet so far.
I gotta get SOMETHING finished. This sucks.

ok thanks, I have a 12/17 swirl in my 144. I will give that a shot. What pump shoe is in the ski? IS it a 144 pump shoe or the fx1 thats been bored out? Thats whats holding me up on installing mine into the ski. I need to figure out WTF to do about the pump shoe

LOLOL.......
Just ribbin' you guys.

Hey, that Red Pipe...I need to check, but I'm not sure if it's an FX-1 specific red pipe or a Superjet pipe made to fit (I'm guessing an SJ). He made a small cut in the lip (which I know is sorta common), but the thing fit.
If anyone one want's it, $300 will buy it WITH the bracket.

Kenny, I'm going over to my shop right now. I'll take some pics of the shoe and post them when I get back in maybe an hour.

Well, this is interesting.....

Like I sorta tip-toed around saying before, as a whole complete ski, this really wasnt presented as it should have been.
That being said, the pump conversion falls into the same catagory.
I pulled the pump yesterday, and it was the last thing I did before I quit for the day. In other words, I didn't look at the shoe or anything.
Here are the pics of it:

If the pics aren't clear enough, I'll explain:
It's the stock oem shoe, and no, it has not been bored out or altered.:grumble::grumble::censored::censored:

many people run 144 pumps with the stock shoe - boring the shoe out to 144 isn't supposed to provide much of a performance gain

Yeah, but if you look at the pics, it like totally overlaps. I can't understand how it wouldn't reduce the efficiency of the pump. I mean, you might not be able to see it in the pics, but there is at least one serious gap that must draw water. Even with the pump tight in place, I can't see how it doesn't.

Thats exactly what the ski I just bought looked like. It was a bonzai Bob pump conversion. His work is nice, but idk why you would leave the oem pump shoe in there.

Yeah, but if you look at the pics, it like totally overlaps.

I know it overlaps, I am currently running the same setup (144mm pump and 122mm pump shoe - although mine has a ramp of silicon to smooth out the transition) As is, the ski still rides fine. No cavitation problems, great response, great top speed....

I will be boring out my pump shoe this winter, but I'm not expecting much of an improvement

So, how would I do that? I have a spare one that's already out of a ski. Do I take it to a machine shop?
Plus, doesn't boring it out reduce significantly the area where the pump seal sits? Is THAT a problem or potential problem?
All in all, it's gotta be a ton easier that fitting in a 144mm shoe, right?
Sorta "plug n play" so to speak.

Most people use a superjet pump shoe - but it takes some grinding of the hull and modifications to the intake grate

I'm going to try to use the stock shoe, the biggest issue I will be facing will be whether the shoe will be too fragile once it has been bored.

I just bought a spare shoe that I will epoxy the voids, and then grind it out. We'll see if working with the fx-1 shoe is worth the time. The surface the pump sits on is not a big deal, because you aren't grinding any area that the pump seal contacts

MNTurbo. Keep us posted on how this. I'm interested to know if its a significant difference over the stock shoe. I always thought it was a requirement to do something with the shoe. If its not much different, I would probably just go ahead and do the 144 pump with the stock shoe myself. Very painless.
