Super Jet xscream adjustable steering install problems

I just recieved the xscream adjustable steering system from x-metal. When i tried to install it, it was to tight and would not allow the turn plate to hit the stop. It came with a bushing for the stock pole and i installed it in the pole and then tried to install the turn plate and it didnt seem to have the clearance it needed to work properly. By the way my ski is a 2007 superjet with a stock pole. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you grind down the stop?

No, am i supposed to? It came with no directions so i assumed it would be a simple switch out. Its not hitting on the stop. It is hitting before it gets to the stop. Almost like i am missing a shim, washer or something. I actually removed the bars and clamps bc the clamp bolt wouldnt clear the side of the pole

No your supposed to grind down the stop to allow it to hit. Its hitting the stop base right?
