Custom/Hybrid XS ss bottom case

So I broke my bottom case on my XS ss865.
My question is, what do they do to these? I didn't think there was anything done, but when I took it apart I noticed it was worked a little. Not sure what they did and why on a stock stroke motor. Please inform me what is done and why.

Here is a picture. Look at the clean side. It's not smooth like a stock case.

cases should be numbers matching, don't mix bottoms and tops, not sure whats done on 865 but 900 cases are filled and widened intake , stator area enforced, cases opened to accommodate for larger cylinder/sleeves.....

Yeah the top case has all that done.

It can be done but comes with risk because the matched cases are a match because they were line bored which insures proper tolerances.

Alright... You guys talked me into it. I'll get it welded up tomorrow. I just had a spare bottom case. But I'll fix this one.
