Haha! and I think we all knew which one was yours. :biggthumpup:

Our designs are actually very similar! Same basic color scheme (yours has more flesh tones! ;o) ) and same basic lines(minus the hourglass shape). I was shocked when I saw yours.

I am really surprised you didn't wipe the floor with us all! The designs had to be "real world paintable"...and maybe people didn't think yours was. We all know though that if the contest involved actually putting paint on a ski...you'd kick all our asses. :biggrin:

Darin, I'm not trying to talk myself out of $25 (and I am sorry to the other 2nd place winner for bringing it up!) but the original rules thread said that 2nd place was to win $75....not $100. Perhaps XFT just felt even more generous and upped it? :ugh2:

I hope more companies decide to do something fun like this! Great job XFT!....Now whatcha got for $225??? :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:


Oh, and MarshJ.... Hahahaha!! Loved the crayon ski! I imagined someone laying on the floor wagging their feet back and forth, with all their colors spread out....happily coloring away.:haha:

Yeah, first thing I noticed was that our designs were just about the same.
You know what they say... great minds....

I kind of had a feeling that putting the girl on the side might be more hindrance and thought about leaving her off, but then I thought... What would I paint if this was an actual painting contest? I LOVE painting chicks, so I had to put her on there. I am actually pretty happy with the scheme and am looking forward to putting it on one of my next projects, girl and all.

For what it's worth, my girlfriend liked Guiness92's ski the best too.

Thanks guys!! I personally thought saki was going to win. Daylites is awesome too, I was just going for a little different style, keeping it simple but cool looking. I originally had a circular kinda design like yours saki, but mine looked like a cheesy blowsion ripoff, so I had to change mine.

Like saki said, if it was a paint your own ski contest, daylite would win hands down. No questions asked lol.

Awesome contest, and I hope we have more like this!!!!!!

Um, ooops, yeah, I need to correct that I guess. I was just trying to get it posted and didn't even pay attention.

2nd places are $75, sorry for the confusion.

Hi Guys,
Congratulations for all participants!
Regard the results I think was very fair!

Blank template contest:
1. Guiness92 flame/tribal style paint job great job.
2. Kawasakit2me very professional design, I like it a lot!
3. marshb I like a lot the idea similar the YZ style, cool! I did something similar in photoshop too.

Online design contest:
1. kawasakit2me : This design in a carbon look hull would be great!
2. marshj: Same thing – the black lines in carbon fiber look, would be cool!
3. motokid129 – I like the red dark and red bright combo, good job!

I hope that we have more contests like this in the future. I have other ideas for the future that I hope that more Freestyle/Freeride guys participate.

I know it's a shame! Has couple of items that are not updated! I had some problems with the company that made the web site and now I'm too busy. Regard the ride plates some pictures are updated now and the Heads are not available at this moment. I'm sorry! Feel free to ask me any questions regard the parts.
