Easy does it, I actually own a set and I will tell you they come in handy when you take someone to the lake that has never ridden before. My two girls would never have gone out with out trying it with them, and its a great way to get the wife out if she has never been on a ski, turns the X2 into a couch.
I bought a set of pontoons and a high seat so the GF can ride the x2. I have not tried to bolt them on yet. Very curious to see how stable it is, and if 2 can ride up on it without flipping over.
I am assuming without pontoons? I am sure we could get going in standing deep water, but deep water starting she would flipout...lol She has never ridden a ski before.
You don't need the nose pontoon, just the sides. They bolt on in 5 minutes, and every X2 owner with more than one boat should have 1 set. I don't use them myself, but they are very handy for newbs.
I've actually been thinking about trying to get a set so that the wife could ride and have more fun, she doesn't really get this whole 'ski' thing yet. . . :-|

It was probably 10 degrees up, not like my current setup at 25.I was wondering if I could get away without the nose piece (as I dont have the mounting hardware). Crab, any idea what the trim was set on in the pic? Looks like if you nail the gas the ski will try to sub itself.
