650/X-2 X2 overheating i dont know what else to check!!

its a 89 x2 and it needed the carb and fuel pump (28mm) which i did and fixed the fuel problem. i took her for a few lap in the pond brought her back to see if everything was all good and the engine was hot enough to boil water. i let it cool and took it home i checked the cooling likes to make sure they were all ran properly and checked for any blockage in the lines which was all good. so i did a head gasket thinking that would fix my problem and still overheating. water comes out the pisser but isnt supper hot ether. any ideas guys?

Check all 90 degree fittings for sand clogs, take the hose off that goes from head to the pipe and make sure it flows water out of the head, something sounds plugged.

i will check that i also took the ride plate off and pulled the cooling line at the pump and put the hose with a fitting on it. started the motor then turned the water slowly at first so normal flow was coming out the pisser then after 30 sec or so and then turned the pressure up so it was spraying as much as it would be at wot. do u think it could still be plugged? also it seemed to run better after i put the head gasket on now its not running that great are these heads known to get warped?

So I'm a :):):):) tard!!! The reason the x2 was over heating was that I cut my own gasket for the exhaust manifold to the pipe. I didn't know at the time that gasket dosent have holes for the cooling sys. So it didn't even flow to the jug. That means the water from the pump was going into the pipe and out the pisser. Not even flowing into the jug That's why it wasn't that hot coming out the pisser.
So the head gasket was for nothing. The only problem there was when I bought the ski was the carbs. I guess live an learn here. Hope someone gets a kick out of this
