300/440/550 X2 Gap

Cant find my printed copy of the 650 manual and I would like to know the right gap for a 650 (X2) spark plug.
While I'm at it. What is the correct Spark Plug for these engines (stock).

Mind to let me know which spark plug you use? There are Champions in it at the moment and I prefer NGK but do not know what # it would be.

if you have higher compression use a colder BR8ES

Don't. Run NGK and NGK only. I run BR8ES.
And never put Splitfire in your machine either.

Do you run the BR8ES because of higher compression or whatever mod?
If so, after what mod shold I switch from 7ES to 8ES?

Any mod that would add heat to the combustion cycle (like increase compression, load or revs). The "8" would lower the heat inside the combustion with about 100 degrees C according to NGK. I run the "8" on my setup.

Good Lord, you think that might explain why my X2 was running so hot last night????? After I found out it was BR7ES, I went out and bought a pair. Then went home, installed and took it for a rip. Well after 30 minutes of riding my engine was freaking hot, and the water coming out of the pisser was boilling or close to. So I had to shut her down and slowly limp back to dock. I noticed this because I was getting alot more smoke than usual outta my exhaust.

Should I just put BR8ES in there or do you think I have another problem?
