I have some small pin cases, but I am afraid to use them, possibly repairable. The front bearing journal has a small ridge, I opted for another set for my project 750.

Thats exactly what I thought, I will take some exact measurements. How do you like the swirl compared to a standard? Worth the extra expense?

I like the swirl a lot. It didn't cost much more than any other good impeller.

I am having trouble finding someone who can bore out my pump past the liner, anyone know who has done this?

I had to find a shop with a large boring bar. They guys mounted the entire pump in the jaws of the lathe and extended the boring bar as deep as it would go into the pump. It vibrated a lot but got it done. Cost me $60.

Pete, what cdi are you running? Mine died, or at least seemed to about 3 miles from nowhere up the river sloughs. I got towed in and later it started back up after some jiggling. I was in the middle of a tail spin and it just went pop-pop and died. 18 years and flogging it at Westport last weekend couldn't have had any effect...lol. I want to replace it to be sure, but thinking of upgrading to Dale's bad attitude.

sounds like its time for a new cdi. i have a bunch lying around just for the same reason. if you decide not to spring for the dales bad attitude cdi look for an 86 cdi because it didn't have a rev limiter

I was running a 95 CDI but now I think one of the 89's I have is in there. The off function stopped working on the first one. I don't rev my motor out so I am cool with the rev limiter. I am tuned for low end BRAAAP!
