X2 Electronic Mounting and revving

I have this x2 that I got a while ago in a ton of pieces and have finally finished putting everything together. It fired right up so now I just need to do some buttoning up. Kind of a dumb question but I can’t tell where the electronics go. I see where the regulator is supposed to bolt but then I don’t see a good place to ground it. And I also don’t know where to mount the CDI and ground it as well. If anyone has pictures that would be great I’m having a hard time finding them online.

While it started right up with the primer it started to “run away” and revving out of control. From what I can tell that is a lean problem with too much air getting in. I have a 40mm CDK II carb on it that I had the intake matched to but I had to cut the stock gasket back to fit the wider opening. I’m assuming that could be my issue, is just using some liquid gasket fine?

Finally I have the front gask fill and fuel selector and I do not know which way is on and which is reserve.

CDI and Regulator look up and under...CDI is mounted with 2 boltsX@.jpg

Could have an air leak ....or just an initial start up problem , open throttle wide when it runs away

look at length of pick up arms inside fuel tank, long one is reserve , short one on, third opening return, 4th opening tank vent

Thank you I got them mounted but I don't know where to ground the regulator? I know which line it is from the tank but I don't know which fuel selector position is which.

For reving, make sure its not just a tight throttle cable.

For fuel petcock, follow it back to the tank and see which line goes deeper.
