X2 650 stator plate positon

I had to remove my flywheel to get bendix out the other day and noticed that the plate holding the stators on was broken where the two screws are that hold the plate to the cases. And i think that the bits that are missing is where i line up the timing marks? If anyone has a pic of a stator plate mounted to the cases this would be a great help as i dont want to put it back together with the timing out.

Thanks for your help.

I Cannot post a pic on this damn computer for you but there is a dash indent on the outside of the stator plate mid way on the top left screw hole it need's to ba at about 11:00 facing the front of the motor look on the case you will see a dash mark there also. good luck you will see it don't loose the woodruf key when installing the flywheel.

Counterclockwise facing the front of the motor, most people just go as far as the slot will allow which is about 7 deg.Somebody else please correct me If I am wrong .

That's about where I am but I did not know a poor man's guess was 1 mm is 1 degree I am thinking I am about 8 or 9 deg. I have not run it yet!I am a little pizzed I even messed with it now except I did find some water in the cover so I am glad I have that fixed. Should I take it apart again and measure it I do not have any timing mark's to go by. I am running a smallpin westcoast head 28 cc domes flat top's 185 psi factory pipe dual keihen 40's with 1995 650 stator and flywheel.??
What I meen by no timing mark's is I could not find any mark's with a timing light to get a baseline from, I do have the stator and case mark's of course but I guess I should get TDC and mark the flywheel and go from there huh ?
Well what do you guy's think ?

Never mind I figured it out. LOL Damm Just doing thing's twice that's all I do recommend on these 650 conversion elect's to a 750 is verify TDC while doing it because this flywheel I have does not have a mark on it anywhere and the ski ran primo last season at stock stator setting's.Anyway just another one of my stupid in a hurry mistakes.

im at 175psi on my 800 engine toff and been running my set up at that timing for over a year now with no problem. good snap off the bottom and it seems fine on wide open runs around the lake as well
