thats me. i just want quicker steering but i dont want to have to buy the UMI guts. maybe ill fabricate something.

i think the turn plate comes with straight bars, or at least theyre in the picture.

Hey dufus....you ride with THE most ghetto rigged group of riders on this continent. Notch the steering nozzle it's the easiest fastest way to get quicker/further throw.
 
if all youre trying to do is achieve a quicker steering ratio, you can do that by:

a: moving the driving coupler out
b: moving the driven coupler in

since nobody mentioned it, youll want to notch out the nozzle to allow for full travel w/o stressing the cable. LOL

Changing the length of the cable will not change the ratio, only the full left, full right, and middle.
Can you make a bike go faster by putting on a longer chain?

The only way to change the ratio is to move the attachment points (like changing sprockets on a bike).
Move the attachment point by the handlebars away from the pivot point, and move the one on the nozzle towards the pivot point.

And, like SFL said, don't forget to grind out some of the nozzle to allow for more throw.

i meant in and out from their respective pivot points.

i highly doubt it will happen, but hey its worth a shot. ill probably have to pitch like half. cmon jesse, you and i have had a few convos about how its good to work and earn your stuff. we both work our asses off for our stuff. why you gotta sell me out like that?jk.
