Figured I would pass this on, I know most use a hose clamp to install the xmetal trim coupler piece, but you have to modify the clamp to make it fit, so I installed a 4.5" band-it clamp from mcmaster and it works great, clears the nozzle, no custom fitting required.

Mcmaster part # 5655K45

Your also need the installation tool : # 5657K21

I prefer to use the make your own CV boot clamp kits. They are super low profile and work very well. Down size is they are one time use only
Is this something you can pick up at Advance Auto, AutoZone, etc...? And can you use standard hog nose clamps to crimp it or does it require a special tool?

I absolutely hate messing with the trim coupler and don't even want to mess with it now that I have it finished but man this is clean and low profile. No more rubbing issues I am sure of. Crazy how well this trim operates compared to other trims all because of this piece lol

It clears with lots of room. The coupler mod is the reason I bought x-metal trim over other brands, made my ski turns sooo much faster.
