Custom/Hybrid X-Metal pole and X-Metal pole bracket problems

Have an xmetal pole and bracket. Using the xmetal pole bolts and double nut system provided. Had this on last ski and worked perfect. Now on new ski after taking off old and putting on new hull. The nuts lossen. Both primary and secondary nuts. Am using loctite 242. No help. After raising and lowering pole once, it is almost so loose its not rideable. Any suggestions? Anyone else having a similar issue? It is a tight pole set up.

Thanks
Owen

I had issues with mine on my rn superjet so I got a lightweight RRP pole bolt and Sxr heavy duty pole spring and ran the solid bolt all the way through and cut one end mostly off on the spring and had a nice light pole. Then I could just tighten the nut on the bolt to stiffen up the pole like the old setup. Made riding way more comfortable :)

The 242 is probably your problem.Use the red loctite and set up over night.lt will loosen back up but it will take a month or so.And tighten it up just a bit more than you think.Once it hits the water it should be the right tension!

I know it sounds dumb but are you tightening the two nuts into each other (loosening the one on the inside while tightening the outside one)

I run the same set up and it's super reliable and zero tennis elbow.

tennis elbow in future......recommend 1 pole bolt and spring.....never came off
Tennis elbows suck bad.

Absolutely NO desrespect to you guys that suggested the pole spring, but he didn't ask that did he!

Seems that i see a this a lot on the X,is what peeps personal opinions are as opposed to helping with the problem.

Have a nice day!

I just gave my 2 cents as an option in case he didn't ever think to go that route. But yes I also did use red loctite on my stock xmetal bolts too so yes both options work
