i just got my first x-2 today. The engine was seized so the previous owner took off the upper half and had the cylinders bored and bought a top end rebuild kit. all included but not put back together. Just stuffed in the engine compartment waiting for a ride home. Along with a bunch of after market things not connected to any thing. Safe right?

I went about two miles north of my place on the lake to pick it up with the couch to tow it back. not a good idea. i get about 300 yards back and it starts to sink. i'm thinking crap crap crap crap because the nearest land is another 200 yards to my left. and at idol that would take for ever so i turn around and grap the rope and start pulling this x-2 off the bottom of the lake in 55 degree water with huge boats and waves every where. eventualy i pull it up on to the back of the ski and get them both to plane out.

When I get back to shore I notice he didn't lock the latches on the hood. One of them was open and the other unlocked. I almost lost my SBN carb, water box, piston kit, cylinders, westcoast pipe etc etc.:notworthy:
