X-2 Cover?

I was wanting to get a cover for the X-2 as it sits outside a lot, and before I put a lot of money into paint, new seat cover, turf etc.. I would like a cover...

What does anyone who has one use? I wasn't sure if I should just order one aftermarket for a x-2, because I figured they might have it cut so it can only be used with the bars in the down, when I'm going to be bolting them and removing the tilt system...

Thanks for any tips!

I was wondering the same thing as I finish my little project. I was wondering how good the $50 walmart special for 2-seaters would work.

I have the part number for them from Kawasaki. I bought one from Ron Ayers but then they refunded me my money back. You may be able ot get one from somewhere. I bete there are more than a few setting on a shelf somewhere.

I have one from years back I bought from Kawasaki when they had a close out sale. They probably don't make anymore. Then I got lucky and got a second one off of eBay for my second X2.

Here are problems you will find. The older Kawasaki ones are pink and purple... Ghey.... The blue one I got from eBay is an OEM Kawasaki made but it is thin material compared to my other one. My grey/black one is nice and the material is heavier. But... as soon as you put aftermarket wider bars on them then the covers won't fit right. I just cut slits in it for the bars to stick out. Well that has caused it to tear some. i need my grandma ot sew in some trim in it. All in all if you can find one, even if it is pink/purple... you could have an upholster take it apart at the seams and make you a new one out of better fabric and the color you like. Just a thought...

I hear the blue tarps smack against the side of the ski and wear off the paint.

I'm thinking I might buy the wal-mart special and have our tailor try to cut it down for me.

If you have a custom paint job and are worried about the paint , throw a bed spread over it first then a blue tarp. Personally I could care less about scratches , I worry more about mold and pine needles and bubbling paint in the footwells from sitting water. Eventually scratches come from use/beatings but mold and sitting water kills the integrity and adhesion of the paint itsself ,thats something I can prevent , I cant prevent wear and tear unless I dont ride.
