I just called Kawi about my broken Carb. The spring that pulled the carb back to an idle broke sunday. I need to get a new one so I can use the ski. I have a 44mm mikuni carb. They told me they can't replace the spring. They said I'd have to buy a whole carb. That's BS.

Same as when Polaris told me I'd have to buy an entire shock because they wont sell me a shock bushing, so we made one. I can't make a damn spring.

I have a 38-44mm keihin carb that came off my part skis. If I have to, I could put that on. I'm going to have to rejet when I put the pipe on, but I don't want to deal with that right now. i want to ride now and upgrade/tune later.

Suggestions?

BRB, going to get a pic of the keihin carb, I was thinking I could put that spring on my mikuni, but I don't want to damage the kethin incase I end up using the whole carb.

Fuel lines. The primer is connected to one line, and the other line is connected to the carb. It's an on/off setup, no reserve.

I have another fuel valve now so I may go back to the one/off/reserve set up. It's ok it's under the hood because the only time I use it is when I park the ski. I put my bilge switch in the fuel toggle hole. The ball valve was like $5, the new fuel vavle was going to be $50. My parts ski had a good valve.

Just have someone overnight a Mikuni carb spring to you, put something up in WTB thread, MARK it ASAP. Is there no local jetski repair shops near you?
Also it is pos. to rebend the spring if it was just the little arm that broke like usual. The throttle will simple be a LITTLE stuffer no biggie, I done it a few times.

I was working. =(

I have to replace the throttle cable and install the laynard set up before I can take out the ski (I have these parts.) I just need it by sunday.

Thanks Tom. I'm going to do my best to get by the shop. I want to see what a REAL jet ski looks like anyway.

I think that is what broke. I can try to fix the spring and get the ski up early. Even if I don't need the part from Tom, I want to go say hi. I have no stand up friends. Damn couchers!

My sea doo is so cool! Look how fast I can go in a straight line! OMG, did you see how high I got off the water? "yes, i saw the front end lift up some, now try to get the back end of that tank out of the water". ppfffffttt.

Tom21 is my hero. He has a spring for me to use.

Almost have the layrnad installed, Tom is getting me set with the spring, and I just need to get the new throttle cable installed.

Yay. Sunday I get to go out and break something else!!!
