not ski related but crazy. about 10 mins ago i was walking down my hallway and one of my cats decides to frickin sprint the opposite way. my foot happened to be a good spot to get traction and his back paw fricking ripped a gash in my foot...which by itself is not that crazy...but when i looked down pissed i saw his claw was still stuck in my foot. had to take a pic as it was way to random and ridiculous not to.

im a cat guy because you can just leave them alone and they're cool but when you want to give them attention they like that too. although the most recent incident has me reconsidering.

Welcome to my world.

You haven't really been a vet until a cat has left a hunk of claw in you, in front of the owner and you calmly pick it out and proclaim, "Naw, trust me, I've gotten much worse!", as your blood drips to the exam table.

Looks like it's nail was still in ya good. Doesn't look like it's the nail that did the scratch, either.

Had that happen too many times to count.

Just keep telling yourself: it's just a flesh wound.

I actually like cats a lot and usually enjoy treating cats. I have a knack with cats. So when they are really bad for me, you KNOW they're a bad cat. Or had a previous really bad experience at a vets. I cut them a lot of slack, their little brains just work differently than dogs.

Edit: Oh, and make sure to clean that scratch really well with either alcohol (my favorite) or peroxide if you're a wimp. Cat scratches are highly likely to get infected. With a big, deep scratch like that, you should use some triple antibiotic ointment like Neosporin to help prevent an infection. It really will heal up much faster if you can keep ointment on it for at least a few hours each day. I often slap the ointment and a bandage (to keep the ointment in place) on it overnight. It will do wonders for helping it heal faster.

Cats are great............ you want to have some fun, put tape on the bottom of their feet!!!!!!!!!!! you will laugh until you cry!!!!!!!!!!!

but they are great pets and have great personalities....... Except for my parents cat, it is Satan reincarnated.

my sister-in-law is a vet and got one of those stuck in her eyebrow recently...the idiot doctor didn't even clean out the nail that was left in.....she found it when she got home...that would have been a NASTY infection.
