Other WR500 any good parts?

dose anyone know what size pump these things have? also what size was the carb? i'm guessing it was a single carb?

their is one fore sale local and i wasn't sure if i could pick it up for a parts ski to do a SJ build or not?

About the only thing you could use off that ski is the starter solenoid.

grab the starter off of it for me. i need one for the wifes ski.... anyone know where to get a starter for one of these? or is it interchangeable with another ski's starter? im having a hard time tracking one down.

no usable parts for the 650/701 series as far as I can tell

WR500 and kAWI 550 use the same starter, a lot of guys use seadoo 587-717 starters on the Kawi's so it should work on the WR also

i stole some motor shims off one, thats all i could find to use and a backflush hose.

Pumps are 130mm but nothing that will fit in a SJ. They came with 28mm Mikuni BN carb.

I had one given to me that was a good motor, but had no spark. I sold the engine out of it for $250 on Ebay. The 500 is a Yamaha boat motor layed on its side. The flywheel is about 10-12" around!

I worked on one recently. The previous owner had put short lawnmower plugs in it (two different ones at that). Weird engine.

i bought my 88 wr500 with a 2006 shorlander trailer for 300$ last year. titles for both! so far it has been bullet proof, but the starter is going south on me. when i hit the start button sometimes the motor doesnt turn over but i can hear the starter buzzing/spinning. whats wrong with this starter? ive never torn into a starter motor, but have replaced plenty of them.
