Yeah, paypal has put a bad taste in the mouth for many. Unfortunately it has ruined the whole process for this type of thing. The fact eBay bought paypal and made all sorts of changes also has not helped the matter.

I would use escrow from ebay. It cost a little more, but make him pay for it. Go to ebay and search escrow, it will tell you all you need to know. It's a safe way to transfer big money for you and him. Also it would be hard to withdraw all that money from paypal , unless you have a paypal visa.

Thanks for this suggestion, I tried to set it up and they wouldnt let me use a credit card because I'm going to drive down there and pick them up instead of using a shipping company that can provide tracking information to me.

Just use Western Union.

Hmm, the bank told me they'd jsut transfer the money for me if I can get his info. Hopefully this solves it!
