Personally with all my toys I've kept them even if I'm not using them at the time. Each toy provides you with an opportunity to spontaneously enjoy it if the situation presents itself. As an example, last year I rode my sportbike on the street over 5,000 miles just around town, this year it was only like 500 miles due to working so much.
I never consider a toy to be an investment with the purpose of it retaining or increasing value, every one of them I consider a total financial loss from the beginning - the payoff or value in my mind is the experiences I get to live because I have and use each of them, any financial recovery when I sell something is like a bonus to me.
Remember, money doesn't make you happy - but the EXPERIENCES & OPPORTUNITIES available to you because you have a toy does!
