Probably simple/dumb question but im looking to buy the worx 228 intake grate for my 08 SJ. Is it worth the money? Ive never ridden a ski with an aftermarket intake grate, what can I expect from it?

For off the shelf grate, it works really nice, IMO, you do need some engine upgrades so you won't bog the ski down too much.

Thats a good price, have you installed it yet? What kind of improvement did you see over stock?
No I havent installed it yet. I just got the ski (100% stock) and a bunch of aftermarket coming in the mail. I want to ride it once bone stock so I have an idea how well all the mods work as I put them on.
Possibly this weekend. Im waiting on UPS for my wetsuit, its still too cold to ride without one here in CT! Once I have the intake on I'll let you know how well it works. Im sure its going to be good, seems to be highly recommended.

I have been wondering this same ? as well..... I have a 2008 SJ and am running a R&D scoop grate for a pre 2007 SJ and
I have had no issues with it.... great hookup and no cavitation at all.....Since i got this grate for FREE i do not see spending another $200+ on another grate when this one works awesome already..... If anyone has run a 2008+ grate please let us know ur opinion...
