youcan jump the two positive cables on the solenoid to confirm its bad.
did you jump the wires??? selonoids rarely go out in my experience, I have only changed out one in about 19 years that I have been riding and 6 ski's later.
I did jump the wires, prob a combination of a bad fuse to begin with, then me doing that to mess up the selonoid..........STUPID:crying:
Did you check the voltage reading on both points of the Solenoid, the first point, the one where the positive battery cable is hooked into. Then did you try to test the other point that the positive cable is hooked to which runs to the starter as you tried to crank. Both readings should give you 12 volts in these testing methods? Just curious, cuz this could save you the trouble of guessing that it's the solenoid.
ok, when you jumped the wires from the + wire from the battery to the + wire going to the starter did the starter spin??????????
So the starter motor is working. And when you tested the solenoid point that leads to the starter motor as you pressed the start button you did not get anything on the reading, is that correct? if thats the case try swapping out solenoids.
