wiring for bilge? how to test switch?

That sound painfull, I've pulled the wires of a a running ski a few times, I've only ever done it once while standing in the water, once. :bigeyes:

it was on teh trailer I was standing beside it, holding the aluminum throttle ( brapping it...)

wet hands, msd enahncer, leaky plug boot...

yeeeeeeoutch.
I said some very bad things...

that worked, i tested it with another switch i had and it lit up fine. the one i spent 2 hrs fishing thru the handlepole and wiring up all pretty and water tight was f'in sheet.

well at least there is tomorrow.

yep, pulled the plugs in that fassion once. not a good feeling something about touching the throttle makes it extra sparky. (please excuse my technical jargon)

the odds of a new switch being bad are pretty slim, but its always possible.

actually it was an old switch from an old blaster. i have a few kits laying around. when i pulled the sheathing on the one wire it was black all the way up. so i am sure it got corroded somehow.
